In this session of the Media Rumble, 2021, Abhinandan Sekhri, co-founder, Newslaundry, interacted with #HardikMehta, independent film-maker; and Srishti Behl, a producer who headed the Netflix division for film.
The discussion began with a focus on the changing values of #OTT platforms. Srishti elaborated on the rich tradition of story-telling in India while Hardik emphasised on the need for diversity of content and platforms.
On the business of #films, Srishti explained the importance of "authenticity" and also how regional cinema has the ability to be more culturally nuanced.
